BMW India has finally launched the updated Z4 Roadster in the Indian car market. It has been priced at Rs. 68.9 lakh for Z4 sDrive 35i model and Rs. 69.9 lakh for Z4 sDrive 35i design pure traction.


BMW Z4 Roadster is a classy sports car produced by the German automobile giant, which is doing quite well in the automobile market. The car maker has last updated this model series in the year 2013 and introduced it in two variants. Among those, the BMW Z4 35i is the entry level variant while the 35i DPT is the top end trim.

Both these versions have been equipped with the same 3.0-litre V6 twinpower turbo petrol engine, which is mated with a seven speed sport automatic transmission gearbox. The automaker has made several changes to both its exteriors and interiors in order to give it a refreshed look. The top end trim is also bestowed with exclusive 'Design Pure Traction' package, which includes several styling aspects.

This BMW line package include Alcantara leather upholstery, metal weave interior trim finisher and anthracite individual headliner. In addition to this, it also includes Valencia Orange exterior paint option, which gives an astonishing look to the vehicle. As far as changes are concerned, its radiator grille along with headlight cluster have been revised, which gives an aggressive stance to the front profile. Apart from this, its taillight cluster along with the exterior mirror caps have received a minor tweak.

This vehicle has a neatly sculptured exterior design that is fitted with modernistic cosmetics all-over. To start with the front profile, it has a radiant taillight cluster featuring bi-xenon headlamps including four LED DRL rings. In the center, it has a signature kidney bean shaped radiator grille that is treated with a lot of chrome.


This BMW Z4 Roadster is equipped with a 2979cc petrol mill, which is mated with an advanced seven speed dual clutch, sport automatic transmission gearbox. It allows the vehicle to breach the 100kmph speed from standstill in just 5.1 seconds. At the same time, it can reach a top speed of approximately 240 kmph, which is rather remarkable.

The automaker has blessed this BMW Z4 with a reliable braking system. Its front as well as rear wheels are equipped with ventilated disc brakes, which are highly efficient and works precisely. This is further assisted by anti-lock braking system along with cornering brake control function that will help to boost this mechanism. Meanwhile, the front and rear axles are equipped with an adaptive M suspension system that helps in keeping it well balanced and offers a comfortable driving experience. On the other hand, it is incorporated with an electric power assisted steering system that offers good response and makes steering easier for the driver even in heavy traffic conditions.
